Zoom America operates multiple community platforms including Joelinks, US School Search, and Zoom America ("we", "us", or "our").

We built our family of platforms (Zoom America, Joelinks, and US School Search) to help neighbors, businesses, local organizations, job seekers, and families connect at the community level. This policy describes the personal data we collect across all our platforms, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have. By using any of our platforms you agree to the practices described here.

We collect the following categories of information when you use our platforms (Zoom America, Joelinks, US School Search):

  • Account details: name, email, phone number, password hash, verification status, and county selection provided during sign up.
  • Profile and community content: posts, comments, reactions, attachments, bookmarks, messages, job applications, school searches, and saved items you create or upload.
  • Location and preferences: county FIPS selection, saved counties, job preferences, school search criteria, and subscription settings used to personalize your experience.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser or app information, referral URLs, log timestamps, and basic analytics gathered via cookies or similar technologies.
  • Payment-related records: billing name, last four digits of payment cards, transaction IDs, and invoices when you purchase promotions or advertising through partners such as Stripe or PayPal. Full card details are handled only by our payment processors.
  • Social login data: when you sign in with services like Facebook or Google we receive your name, email, and profile photo as authorized by you. You can revoke access at any time from the third-party provider.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal data to:

  • Provide, secure, and improve our platforms (Zoom America, Joelinks, US School Search) and their community, job search, and school search features.
  • Personalize content, show relevant local updates, job opportunities, school information, and surface suggested connections, businesses, and events.

  • Third-party logins: revoke our platforms' access from your Google or Facebook account dashboards.

8. Children's Privacy

Our platforms are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will delete that account and its information promptly.
